What charm level is considered to be 'High Charm'?
I'm trying to get rid of influence debuff from one of the policies. I'm 47 Charm, but that's still not enough.

How the hell do you even level charm. Raising relationship with people isn't giving me any xp. Haven't gotten a single point since I made my character, but I've got so much positive relationship with other npcs

Pretty sure its broken and unable to be leveled atm. Barter/relationship increases don't work atm for me. Playing with the newest patch too.

Mine went up when I did tasks for faction leaders and nobles, and when I let enemy lords go after I beat them in battle. It's at 26 now, I just learned to live with debuff.

The way to level up charm is by interacting with lord and increasing their reputation.

I know one way to level it up early.
1. go to a town that has a gang.
2. walk around town and hold alt and you should see a pole and flag icon, go there.
3. antagonize the thug there.
4. kill them.
5. you then wait for their reinforcement to come and kill them as well.

This will increase the rep of the merchant and owner of that town which is the lord and will increase your charm level early.

Since no one else actually answered this question, I found that around 100 charm is considered by the game to be high enough to change the -1 influence from the policy called 'Lawspeaker' to a +1 influence.

Yep. I can confirm this. Reach 100 charm and the negative influence from lawspeaker becomes positive.

They are reworking the perk system, so maybe all the discussion about it is pointless, because it will all work totally different. You actually can get charm skill, but it seem buggy so not everything that gives reputation also gives charm. But as said, I would ignore it and just wait for the new perks, which they will more focused fix if needed, than this abandoned old ones. Would be stupid to waste time fixing them if they plan to repplace them ;)
