How to hire a companion?

Like the title says. I've never played before and can't figure it out. Haha.

I’m a town click on the go to tavern district option, if there are characters portraits in the top box then there are companions you can recruit at that tavern, they typically cost about a thousand or so

Each major city has a tavern/inn. When you click "Tavern District" it will show someone with a name in it like "Bob the Hobo" (just an example). When you go to that tavern find that person inside. Listen to their story, reply how you want, then say "I could use someone like you in my company" and be prepared to pay 800+ gold to hire them. That's the cheapest I've found is around 800 gold.

If you click on the portrait it will instantly start the conversation for you also, so you don’t have to run around looking for them

go to tavern
You will meet a companion in each you visit first until you meet them all

right click on them and you will see their stats, there are a few of them got 200 skill level, hire them first

Some companions are more useful than others. Be sure to nab a healer/willowbark and a scout (Frostbeard or Fish I think)
