How do I get a castle or a fief?
I have 450 influence and I have already single-handedly captured an entire town AND a castle and I still don't have a single fief. Is the game a little too early in development for me to get anything or am I just super unlucky?

i join a fation and they vote to give me a castle after we took one for the enemy team.

450 influence is allot i think and i would say you are in the middle/top of the kingdom and pretty powerfull.
Maybe become good friends with the "king" and he consider you for a castle or city.. the better releationship with the top lords the higher the chance.
You get a good relationship doing missions for the king, and figthing battles with im and other lords. The more they like you the better chance.
In mount and blade one you could talk to the lords and suggest who shold recieve a new castle and you could effect them with speach ect.. maybe its the same in bannerlord.
Is it possible to make a faction here? I thought you cant do it

Bottom left hand corner of your screen is a Kingdom Mangement button. When a town or city has been captured there is a 24 hour voting period. You can spend influence to sway the vote in your direction. What I'm trying to figure out is how to become friends with other lords because when they vote for you it really helps. There doesn't seem to be any option to perform tasks for other lords so I'm not seeing how I can improve my relationship with them. Frustrating. I know it's early access and this will all be fleshed out. That's all the info I can offer.

Yeah, literally every single vote I had like a 0% chance and if I spend 100 influence it's like %42. My chances of getting a fief are slim to none and I basically carried this kingdom to victory. Sad times

I got the feeling that it depends on how much you have been involved in battles against enemy factions. I helped capture about 8 castles and got rewarded with 2. So would say every 4th castle I helped capture got rewarded to me. I did not even had to use influence, the other vassels voted for me.

Yes! Even if you are the one that led the army in a siege, sometimes I'm not even considered. Then if you don't vote, your relationship with all the candidates DECREASES. That part is crazy to me. If you abstain it shouldn't count against you. I don;t want to spend my hard earned influence to give a fief to someone else.

Oh, there was a vote for a city. Nomiated were Myself, The Queen and another random dude.
I had 92% of the votes in my favor. Gues what the queen decided?
Yes, give it herself anyways, despite 8% of the vote.

Why is there a voting system if the King/Queen can just do whatever she wants anways? What a farce.

Because it's the middle ages haha
One day I'll have a kingdom and I'll raze their lands for refusing me my righteous property

Obviously a monarchy, but still, why have a voting system then if it doesn't matter?
