Walk around and play.
Thats it.
Steward is my second highest skill only surpassed by trading.

You get steward exp when you take in income. SO i have 4 shops and a caravan. When my money comes in thats when I see stewardship go up. I also made myself quartermaster so it could just be that.

If it doesnt go up just from the title then you need to start getting income.

Fairly easy. Just make sure you have enough food and that your troops are getting paid. Unassign all followers from the roles in the clan because they take the EXP for it then.

If it's a Companion have them govern a Castle or city, or caravan.
The skill passively levels. A captain is responsible for Feeding and paying an Army, which is Stewarding.

Make sure you are the quartermaster, have all the different food types, and just keep travel around.

What I understand raises stewartship is, as player mostly being a Quartermaster, doing missions, clearing bandit hideouts. running around the map scouting, as a non playable character, a governor, city or castle holdings. I hope that helps. Edit: I also forgot friendship and clan level, and position in a kingdom and how friendly you are to the vassels.

Edit: I just realized this thread is from 2020, the game has been updated since than.

All you need is... Make sure you have every type of food, and let time pass.

You don't need to make yourself quartermaster, as long as no one is assigned as one. As you cover all unassigned slots yourself.
