Yeah, I noticed that there are plenty of companions without a specialized skill. Maybe it was intended to have players train that skill on a certain companion?

I've looked at every potential companions' stats and none of them could fit an engineer role. Given how long it takes to level up companions, I think the only option for having an good engineer is to take on this role yourself.

That's pretty legit. My first 3 companions so far are damage dealers.

Part of companions aren't really done yet. I've met at least 2 with (Generic background) instead of them telling their story, which puts me onto thougts that they might also be randomly generated lol

I did find a medic and a scout.
So they are there, just finding them is the hard part

Yeah found just warriors and few healers- looking for engineer and scout...was thinking nah will focus on other stuff find those on companions like in warband...and can only see warriors and healers mostly females

Yeah for the ones I've seen, the distribution seems to be something like 80% damage, 15% surgeon, 5% scouts and no quartermaster or engineer. I've seen 20 or so damage, 4 surgeons and 1 scout.

Frankly I'd prefer just to take some kid off the street for 50 gold that had no skills what so ever.

Given how much of Warband seems to have leaked into Bannerlord I'm at least glad they don't seem to argue with each other. That whole relationship mapping crap was annoying.

Ive noticed the companions are just randomly generated, ive restarted 5 times to check.

its probably on its way, cause one of my guys keeps complaining about raiding soo they will probably complain about each other in time or after it gets put in.

Same. I like that vs the old fixed set of companions. I just wish there was more variance. Probably coming.

God I hope not. It's bad enough that they didn't add a 'follow' option for escort quests like practically every mod had, if they shoe horn in that god awful mechanic I will slit the throat of every single companion on the map. I'll just go around killing them all rather than conquering the world.

unfortunately the only way to fix this atm is to get a mod to change companion stats or ones that adds companions with low levels in a new game that you can raise yourself as they level
Heretek1914 Apr 3, 2020 @ 6:25pm
I don't think one exists, but perhaps more annoyingly, engineering takes forever to level up yourself as I just watch the timer tick slowly by as the defenders set up 4 onagers in the time it takes to just get the camp.

Marry someone with great stats. :^) My character's wife has 150 in stewardship, 100 in charm and trade. Maybe there's skilled smiths out there too, just waiting for a ring around their finger?

Was able to take 2 castles :D But yeah no engineering companion so far. Did what most peeps said and worked on it on my character. Still annoying but am getting by, made my own kingdom (sort of lol still no capital yet) working out alright so far :D
Thx for the replies and help from peeps, good to see :mhwgood:

Sincerely

In regards to the companion for now they all are auto generated by the game so you will find melee, ranged, scouting and healing companions but they are planing to put a hand crafted companion to the game at a later time
