How to call companion party to help me?
I sent two companions to make their own party, they are within my clan. How do I call them to assist me in a siege of a castle? Thanks

what if you don't have a kingdom yet? I formed a party and they would be super useful to take a castle and actually MAKE a kingdom

Based on my experience you must be in a kingdom in order to call people to war.
In order to take a town with the 100 or so troops you've got, you just have to be really predatory. Hit N to open up the journal and go to kingdoms from there you can look at the different Empires to see who is at war with who. Follow around some of the armies and once they take a castle or a town wait until they leave, they won't start replenishing the troops until the castle/town has been assigned to an NPC so it's the opportune time to raid the nearby Village and go to war and a sack the town quickly then sue for peace as quickly as possible. Just make sure you have enough money saved up to drop 30 or 40 thousand on a peace contract.

I like that's it difficult to start your own kingdom, it should be. A peasant would have a hard time doing, so should we. But I hope they find a way to make it a little easier, or at least allow you to call your companions

Edit: alternatively you can join a faction as a vassal and eventually you will be gived a town org Castle. You can then leave the faction and basically tell you want King to eat a fat one cuz you're keeping your land. The entire faction is going to hate you for this but it's theoretically works

I am the Necro KING!
So, instead of starting a new topic I'll raise the dead. Has this issue been sorted or can we still not ask the 100 strong reinforcement party to walk away from their session at the pub to actually join the war until I create a Kingdom?
Lads... we're doing this to create the Kingdom, now's the time we need you

You have to be in a kingdom as either a vassal or faction leader to be able to create an army.

If you are an independent clan, you do not have access to the Kingdom tab, which is where Create Army lives.

So independent clans cannot create an army.

On the other hand, factions will not attack an independent clan.

If you are looking to take that first fief -- You are on your own unless you are a vassal.

And if you cannot find a way to take that first fief, you are not ready to have the responsibility of a kingdom.

They're talking about parties which you definitely can create as independent, I just created two myself and never even joined a Kingdom as a Mercenary so yeah you're wrong

You can't form an ARMY out of your clan parties while being independent though. Which is what the OP wanted... 2+ years ago -)

For parties, yeah, you can create them independent. But for an army that is not the case. And we're talking here about that big army, which does require you're in a kingdom. An army consist of several smaller parties into a big one. You recognize then with the big square next to the name. For example; If Empress Rhagaea has formed an army, then you will get a notice plus when you see Rhagaea then it will be Rhagaea's Army instead of party, together then with a blue square. An army can have up to 8 parties as far as i know, so you could encounter armies as big as 1500. Often powerfull leaders will have large armies. I've seen Monchug, the khan of the khuzait, with such a big army. Lucon also have a habit of doing it.

Do you mean in the game that you don't even own?

No, I am not wrong.

Yes, you can create parties as an independent. Nowhere in that post did I say that you couldn't.

But if you are not in a kingdom, it doesn't make any difference how many parties you can create, you still cannot call them into an army because you do not have access to the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Kingdom tab, which is where you create an army.

So you created two parties. Big ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ deal. You still cannot have them join you in an army to take a fief. And why is that? It's because independent clans cannot create a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ army. Period.

I don't know how I can make it any ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ simpler for you.

I don't think there is any limit to the number of parties you can have in an army. I've formed armies with more than 20 parties.
