Leadership perk : Raise the meek
So in the description it says medium XP bonus to lvl 1-2-3 Troops.

I checked how much is medium and this is what happened

So a "medium" xp bonus is 30 xp of 1 troops level, so it needs around 20 days to level up a single lvl 1 troop? That seems extremly low compared to training skill in Warband.

Just did a random battle with 25 men against 15 looters and 4 of each lvl 1 troops i have gained a level up, so 80 days of perks xp worth in a single looter battle, like what?

The first two leadership perks (or leadership skill as a whole) needs to be reworked and or trainer skill needs to be added back. If that's true, that's awful.

The best way to level up troops is to auto-calc a battle with looters. Literally multiple recruits are ready to level up versus.. 30 xp a day? (edit: I just said what the first guy did, oops)

I think your misunderstanding something here, it's 30 exp per guy. So say you have 10 empire recruits they each get 30 exp for a total of 300 exp per day. That means after 2 days you can upgrade 1 of those recruits for a cost of 500 ish exp. So just like how it works in warband.

Just checked again for tier 2 troops, they require nearly 1000 xp to level up and gain 30XP too from perk. Im better of just bashing some random looters, that perk is completly useless right now.

If it would give 30xp per soldier so if i have 50 tier 1 troops, they would be awareded 1500x and level up 5 after a day.

Pretty sure that was how it worked in warband.

Are you sure about that? the image shows something different in the tooltip

Really? Time to grind leadership to test it I guess.

Upgrading troops is stupid slow, easier to just recruit high level units. After a large battle, like 1 is ready to promote. Like what.

Just for science i waited 2 additional days to see if 1 or 10 level up

Sadly just 1 and counter reset to zero

Either its way to low or it is bugged and doest count that you got X troops x 30xp

Training is nerfed comapared to Warband... but i don't think it's a bad thing. You have to fight to fast level up your soldiers, not sit entire days at a village and wait for auto-training... i prefer this method: more credible imho.

Also if your trying to grind levels for troops, let them fight looters and when the battle option appears use send troops instead of manually fighting. Looters seem incapable of actully killing anyone in autoresolves so your guys are safe ... mostly but wounded troops are just medcine exp waiting to be harvested anyway so win win.

Just tried grinding the looters, seems like wounded troops dont gain level ups even though they did during the fight.

Only the Freebooter, that was not wounded gained a level.

Imho leveling up troops via Training only was alrdy slow in Warband, even if you've put in multiple points into trainer.

Maybe it becomes better with higher levels, but only leveling up one guy via training and not multiple ones (which could easily happen especially to low level troops in Warband, if your Trainer Skill and your level were high enough), that seems odd to me.

I hope that gets changed more akin to Warband during EA.
Shimazu Apr 1, 2020 @ 3:43am
3 out of 6 imperial recruits gained a level during the fight and i was not able to level up 1 because the one that did not get wounded wasnt the one that gained xp.

Something seems really off here.

So you need to send your troops to the fight to get xp, but a soon as they get wounded the xp gets deleted and they wont level up or pass the level to another troop of that kind.

leadership now seems completely useless. you already get so much party size from clan level my clan is level 3 and I already have 97 max party size and cities have like 220 troops in them. Lord only have 40 50 troops some of them have party size of 80-100 but still.
I dont see a point leveling leadership at all unlike warband. It levels so slow anyway unless you are farming it by recruiting and disbanding your troops rinse and repeat
