how long does it take for workshops to turn profit?
i bought a workshop right before the patch, so i know i kinda got nerfed before i got anything, but it's been sitting at 0 profit for like 6 days now... how long does it take to actually start making a profit?

It takes 1 week for them to start working, assuming you're building them from scratch.

I think if you buy a shop that's already made, it will produce immediately. Not 100% sure, but I think I recall that when I bought one.

It's currently capped at 200 gold per day.

And once they're at cap, return on investment is ~75 days, or roughly 2.5 month-seasons. So inside a year you should be fully back where you started even if you don't ever sell the thing to recoup.

ok, i think it's been 7 days, i didn't change the production, and it seems to be costing me more and more money. i don't know what's gone wrong?

It means that item doesnt sell well in that town. Just make a smithy or wood workshop. They alwasys seem to produce well.

Edit: Which is a pitty because I studied the market of a town only to then find out that apparently Vlandians hate linen when my business was costing me 200 a day...who wouldve thought.

heh, so i should sell it and make a caravan? how do i make sure i make profit on a caravan?
my first one was 14000 denars, it would take that divided by 2 in days. so 70.

AFAIK because there was a bug where wood workshops were making around 5k denars per day.

That's kinda broken.
