Anyone else just got this bug? Have like 15 hours on this game, so it would suck if all my save files don't work.

With mods (Vortex launcher)
1.) Open Steam -> Library -> Mount and Blade Bannerlord

9.) Start Mount and Blade 2 and exit it when you are in the main menu. (This must be done so that a new "Mount and Blade II Bannerlord" folder is created in your documents)
10.) Go to the folder that you have moved to the desktop and there you will find 4 folders. Copy the folder "Game Saves" and paste it under "Documents" -> "Mount and Blade II Bannerlord". (ONLY the Game Saves folder!)
11.) Start the launcher and select all mods.
(If you dont see your mods, You may have to install all mods again, just open Vortex, "load order" -> "Deploy mods" (left on top) - if you still don't see any mods in the launcher, go to "Vortex" on "mods" and choose for every Mod uninstall "and then reinstall it.)
Also check, if you have the latest versions of your mods
11.) Start the game again and you should now be able to play without any problems. Settings and so on must be set again

Number 3. isn't even an option for me on my Steam :(
This game has had so many issues since it came out & i've been playing on & off since it was first released. Just redownloaded it to play around again & can't even get in. I play with mods, but even after disabling them the game won't start.

Download ''Revo Uninstaller'' and uninstall the game with it. Download the game after uninstalling and now the problem was fixed. I think the old game saves and old files of the game cause this problem and you can delete them with this program.

Most of the crashes under that report are from base game only mod i'm running right now is Fire Emblem music changer and i got that after playing the game for 5 hours straight losing 20 mins of progress.

Blame Dev Team not mod authors.

For the people with whom it still does not work. I have not found a solution:

Open Windows Explorer and navigate to: C:\Programs (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Mount & Blade II Bannerlord\Modules (if you have your installation there too, that's the default).
Then type "language_data.xml" in the search box at the top right. Manually select everything that shows up in all subfolders (36 files in most cases) and delete it.

Now it should work :)

I had this same issue and this fixed it! Thanks! Just have to make sure to verify the game files after deleting the files.
