I think it must be the end of the ancient and the beginning of the middle ages because of the calradian empire but i am not sure if this is really the case bacause i dont know how long the calradian empire did survive.
No, definitly not. M&B is set in an fictional world so there is no attila. Maby there is an fictional equivalent for him but i dont know anything about the plans of the developers.
But he have not destroyed the roman empire. Only a side fact :)
I think the game is set a bit after attila but the time periode is propably inspired by this time.
Its definitly inspired by the end of the roman empire which marks the beginning of the middle ages.
What? this is about 607 years after the time periode i thougth the game will play.
In real time this is about the middle of the middle ages/dark ages
but if the game plays in 1060 that must not mean that the world of it is inspired from the real 1060 world
But i would be fine with it i like that time periode.
"but if the game plays in 1060 that must not mean that the world of it is inspired from the real 1060 world "
:) :)
Calradic Empire: basically the Eastern Roman (Byzantine) Empire or very very late WRE
Aserai: probably equivalent to the "Saracens" (Rashidun/Abbasid Caliphates) or Sassanid Persia
Khuzaits: Eurasian steppe tribes like the Alans, Khazars, Huns, etc
Sturgians: they're Vikings
Vlandians: the Normans or Franks when knights came into prominence
Battanians: dark age/medieval Celtic folks like the Picts, Gaels, Welsh, etc
