Mechanics, graphics, playability etc. Nothing matters but...

But if you ride a horse or donkey, a fifth slot would be good. That would solve some problems of horse archers.
In Warband they can carry the bow plus arrows, a shield and one melee weapon, but it would be better, if they had a spear and a shorter weapon.

Haha that'd be pretty cool if you could store weapons on your mount I guess. Can you imagine fighting a M&B battle in the vicinity of your horse though? He'd just take 80 axes to the head immediately. I guess you could still pull stuff off his corpse though.
