People's disappointment is already as low as it gets, so saying the release of something playable will somehow make it worse is just nonsensical.
Expecting them to release the Gamescom demo is probably not reasonable since it contains just about everything they have so far and people will probably data mine the crap out of it. However I don't see how giving people the opportunity to at least experience the combat through 1 or 2 battles can be a such a bad thing, unless it's so far from being finished that it will create a bad impression, which if we're being honest just shouldn't be possible at this stage.
You said in the pass you wanted to let people play the game in some way.Now you have a full playable demo...Now you have a chance to do it. Jus do it! You did it in the past with Mount & Blade.
You have the most loyal fan base in all the industry, we deserve it.
But we'll have another dev blog talking about stones or trees.
2020 release, yay!
I remember playing dozens of hours with the 3/4 battles available before deciding to buy the game.
