Custom Formations

Do you think that we will be able to make our own formations? use a system to make a formation then name & save it?

I.e. Making your troops do a Schiltron (a circle of sheilds + swords or spears) formation or testudo (raising sheilds above heads to block incoming arrows)

I think this would be a cool idea

I could certainly see howit could be done with a mod or even implemented. Be very useful.

As stated by the other two comments...mods. formations were nodded into Warband...BL went be any different.

No point in having formations if your troops turn into a damn blob after the first clash with the enemy. Well, maybe apart from enjoying your custom soldier spacing prior to battles.

Anyway, now word on that from the devs if memory serves me right so yeah... mods.

i hope it will have advanced/custom formations, and that they actually hold the formations until they can't hold it any longer.

I kinda expect that as they have been developing the game so long :D but honestly, that would be the best thing ever. Really needed it in Warband because sometimes enemies would just surround my troops because - lack of formation...

even something like a grid where you select troop type, i.e. Infantry, cav, archer or whatever else and place them on a square and rotate by 45* so you can have a circle of troops, a square of spears or something :D
