I might be wrong, but I have the impression the first one wasn't a commercial success. Then again, that's mostly guesswork so... who knows. Could well be that the options the new engine opens up will allow someone to do the source material justice this time around.

With fire and sword and napoleonic wars was pretty well trash, IMO.

I don't think the game's combat was really balanced for firearms.

Warband was good though.

fire and sword was decent, but the no tournaments screwed up. That and the massive underpowering of the crimean khanate.

ahh fire and sword where you made a character that was insanely good with a pistol and could pick people off horse back with a single shot, Only to lose to a guy with a stick who attacks you in a city because you forgot to get ammo.

They explained in the last blog that they want to make the new engine the defacto engine for all their future titles. they also explained the engine is so moddable you can create entirely new mechanics.

I would not worry about F&S2, because it is almost guaranteed that someone will make it :P

I have played so much on this official mod too.More than warband but i like warband too :) napoleonic wars too but i have played less time ;)

Maybe we can get a similar mod going for Bannerlord when it finally releases. I like this kind of era too.

Speaking of which, there was a Thirty Years War themed mod being made for bannerlord but then Bannerlord didn't come out in that time, and so the mod died out.....despite the hopes and dreams of Winged Hussars.....But yes, I want to see this possible!!! This idea does have my consent!
