Flame Arrows
does anyone know if they have flame arrows in this game than from there seige arrow that i saw in the video. Personally i like to have flame arrows like in the seige, i saw fire scource in the video just go to it and lite the arrow. or make arrows with cloth that can caught on fire or oil to use in battle. Cause back then fire arrows used alot for battle as well as night fights. One Reason there cloths they wear are highly flammable back then hint one of the reason they used as well as fear. See flame arrows coming down at you, you more likely say holy***. If they dont i hope someone make a mod for it. And yes i know they have fire pots just want to see more variety.

In the presentation video of the steam page, seems like yes. I didnt saw it on the gameplay videos, but if not... It is easy to do with mods. Dont worry u will have fire arrows sooner or later if game dont have it from release

Double yes on McGanicus's observation; I'd noted that siege towers and battering rams can be caught on fire by defenders (at least I'm pretty sure, unless I was hallucinating from the fumes of awesome from dev videos) but I'm totally unsure if they will be used in the battlefield outside of siege itself. If they're not, it'll be a bit of a disappointment, but I'll live. I'll just assume Calradia has a law to protect the forests from wildfires.

Citation needed.

Mods will no doubt add them though.

The ballistas can have flaming bolts. From there we're only a couple lines of code away from modding them to normal arrows.

''Cause back then fire arrows used alot for battle as well as night fights.''
No....just no. Fire arrows where rarely to almost never used in battle. They were only used as a utility tool, to light ♥♥♥♥ on fire, and even then they were extremely ineffective.

This. Pop culture has turned fire arrows into something common, it was not.

Maybe they saw the Game of Thrones episode where Castle Black is attacked and the Night's Watch used fire arrows, seemingly no reason other than so that the audience know they are shooting arrows, and assumed this is representative of combat.

Or maybe because this is still a game and the rule of cool is a thing. I don't have a problem with fire arrows being in the game. Though I'll take offense if it only takes a dozen of arrows to set a siege tower ablaze à la Shogun 2 where every castle seemed to be made of matches.
Besides, I highly doubt we'll get more than fire balistas/onagers and fire pots in native.

Well, then again, walls exploded at 100% damage in Shogun 2 due to fire damage, throwing entire units like 20 feet into the air.
