Bannerlord map makes no sence.

warband map

The changes are massive. It should have taken many thousand if not millions of years for the changes to happen. Mountains have changed dramatically, cities have changed to. Rhotae is now Ichumur(not Dhirium as I thought and others). For instance Sunor(Suno) is now where Uxkhal should be. Vercheg(Wercheg) is where Alburq castle should be. Rivercheg gone despite being very important in lore. The Snowy lands are now Battanian forests.

Despite the difference I like the fact they are redoing lore as it was terrible. Despite the better map I think that it has lost importance. If you where in Warband each part is special you can know where you are even if your camera is close to the ground and a new player. But the Bannerlord parts all look similar and they are missing non mountinous lands.

Just look at the geographical differences between Mount and Blade 1 and M&B Warband.

Mount and blade 1 takes place in the SAME calradia than warband with most of the factions and also with most of the cities warband also has.

But as you can see at the pics bannerlords map is way more similar to warbands map than warbands map is to M&B 1s map.

You can read about the geographycal changes here:

It is a different land! Where as bannerlord and warbanda are same map just with major differences. In the end I am ok with it being changed as it has changed for the better except the inderviduality of each area.

Well technically it is even kind a lore wise(what little there is) as the Sarranid Sultana(The very reason for the new map) wasn't able to be fited in. So there is different lore as the house of Sarran probulary took over the Asseri.

Lorewise, they're both Calradia. There's no difference in lore. They're practically meant to be the same time period.

So in the first one where did the Sarranids go. Also the land is lore.
The Panda May 22, 2017 @ 12:13pm
It was Calradia in first M&B, it is Calradia in M&B: Warband, it will be Calradia in M&B: Bannerlord.

Map always changed between games. Asking Sarranids is like asking "Battania" in Warband, since it does exist in Bannerlord.

Same time faction isn't there. Different time faction isn't there. Completely different. They are different maps but warband and bannerlord are the same.
The Panda May 22, 2017 @ 12:17pm
They are the same maps o.O How did you come to different map thing? Look at the M&B map, there are PRaven, Sargoth, Tulga, like in Warband. That is just Calradia.

M&B 1 and warband take place in the same calradia. ALL the main cities and factions from M&B1 have the same names as in warband. warband just got expendet into the south with a new faction (which was the reason for the map redesign) as well as bannerlord now gets expendet into the east and south.

They arn't the same map. Where as the bannerlord map is meant to be the same but has been changed slightly.

Who gets this emotionally invested in the map?
Sumarlithi May 22, 2017 @ 11:33pm
Not emotion just fact.

It does not matter if its the same map or not because its the same calradia lorewise which means it is not a different continent or something lorewise it is the SAME contintnt and take place at the same piece of earth. They just decided to redesign the world NOT to make a different continent or region in the lore. Calradia is still the same calradia just with different geography and a new fection.

I hope the devs didn't spend as much time discussing unimportant stuff like this. It would explain the 7 year wait though.
