Left button = left arm
Swing right and click right(mb2) will give the right arm a left swing.
Swing left and click right(mb2) will give will give the right arm a right swing.
Swing right and click left(mb1) will give the left arm a left swing.
Swing left and click left(mb1) will give the left arm a right swing.
To block the player would need to press the wheel (mb3). Or even better the player would need to swing opposite the direction the blow is coming and press both mb1 and mb2 to activate a parry/block.
The parry/block will depend on the strength amd agility of the player. And still won't be able to block crushing weapons like warhammers.
A duel welder will not be able to block arrows just like a 2h player.
To offset people complaining about the idea being op, you can consider how hard it will be to master the controls. On top of that if it has skill points like 1h and 2h, the player will be even worse at the start.
Daggers don't require as much strength as a sword so you would have one dagger to parry someone and the other to thrust.
If you do a right and left swing at me simultanously, what am I supposed to to with my 2 h weapon in MP?
Skallagrim thinks gender is a social construct. He's not a very smart man.
Because you can only swing the mouse in 1 direction at a time.
The player can swing both weapons in one direction however and this can be blocked.
I would say he knows more about European fighting styles/European martial art, than at least 99% of people here.
"Why would I want 2"
I don't know why you would want 2. But you should at least have the option.
He can believe that if he wants, it's wholly wrong and stupid, yes, but at least he cites sources on his HEMA related material and experiments with weapons for our enjoyment. To be right about something doesn't mean we need to be right about everything.
Out of curiosity though, where does he say he believes that?
Jesus ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ christ, do you know how many videos that guy has? I'm not going to... Fine.

Read Erduk's comment chain. He (Skallagrim) clearly states that "gender is a social construct".
