Yes you just have to bootcamp Windows.. I mean because who would buy a new computer with MAC OS on it and actually expect it to exel in gaming...

MAC OS is very restrictive and will never be for gaming!! It has alot of other things it exels at however, where win or linux falls short.. (Linux btw is also a bad choice for gaming)

Using MAC OS for gaming is like buying shorts for a alpine vacation you can sure do it, but chances are you will get cold.

So why linux is a bad choice for gaming?

To develop on Mac you have to pay extras to them for the right to DEV on their OS, after that, it costs extras again when you want to RELEASE on mac.

The only people developping for macs are mac fans. It's rarely sustainable for little companies, and that's why we see so few games on mac despite the high population using them. Also, those who have a release for mac usually ask for more money because of this reason.
Gaming community is made small on mac because of those reasons, and people prefer to use Windows, making companies dev less and less on mac, making less people play on mac, etc... see ?
Things are changing though, with the cost of an apple computer, people can't afford to buy a window one on the side, and they cater to the games getting out on MacOS.

As for Linux, most companies believe the comunity is too small to meet the extra cost of developping on another OS, and it wouldn't be sustainable. But the OS isn't bad for gaming. Mostly, it's the drivers that aren't supported officially on those distribs. if NVidia doesn't support linux, gaming will be impacted, for instance.

I'm pretty sure you only have to pay to put it on the Apple app store.

And T-Cell is right, you can play Warband on OSX.

I wonder if Callum will be allowed to answer something like this... I mean as far as I know we still haven't gotten an answer about whether it will be on consoles or not. I feel like consoles/mac is a simple question to answer? I'm not in game development though so what do I know.
A developer of this app has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Well that sounds like a great answer to me! Thanks for the reply. My only follow-up would be:

"Do you think the potential approach to getting it out on other platforms would occur before or after the PC release? (If TaleWorlds decided to include other platforms, would those be completed before releasing for PC so that all the chosen platforms are released to the public together at once? Or is TaleWorld's main concern getting the PC version into people's hands even if the BannerLord timeline includes other platform support?)"

Although I completely understand if there is no answer to that question yet because, as you said, you can't confirm if it will even be available on other platforms yet. Just thought maybe the topic was discussed over on your end already, so it wouldn't hurt to ask.

Just to toss something out...these anti mac gamers who say macs cant run games. My macbook pro runs many games better than my windows pc so there is really no argument if mac can run games. The issue is with open gl 4.5 from my understanding. Mac only goes up to 4.1 which is older technology. You also have to consider how many people who use linux or mac are gamers. Its of course a smaller market. Ive essentially gone 100% mac and really havent noticed a difference in gaming. I just look for alternatives sometimes when I can't get what I want. I still have a windows gaming laptop but I havent found the need to use it again. For someone else who mentioned above about smaller companies not being able to afford it....thats bs...most indie games coming out and run on all three platforms and run well. Unfortunately apple is stubborn when it comes to their choices and im hoping a future update will allow open gl 4.5.
I have a 2017 27 inch iMac that has Radeon pro 570 built in giving it total of 12GB RAM, and gaming on it is great. I just want more major titles to come out for Mac OS because it does everything a PC can do. Besides I don’t want to have to re-partition my hard drive to fit in more games if I don’t have to.

The reason he asked and I found this was because some of us don't have windows at all. Some of us only have mac, I have a really ♥♥♥♥♥♥ PC, but it works. The point I am trying to make is that some of us can't buy a gaming computer. And also, just because I have a mac and I use it for gaming doesn't mean that I want to use it. It's just my only option.

Oh, and to agree with Rockpaper, my mac runs way better than my ♥♥♥♥♥♥ PC.

+1

I'd rather see Linux support in one way or another than MAC OS, but all it boils down is cost vs. potential income, and my guess is (as someone already pointed it out above) the target groups are too small to make it even a 3rd priority for TW - we'll sooner see Xbox and Playstation versions of Bannerlord than anything else. But I do see where you guys are coming from, agree with it, and keep my fingers crossed you get MAC support at some point.

Please, be quick on the Mac version after release, some games don't even get there even tho they say they will :(
