Yes you just have to bootcamp Windows.. I mean because who would buy a new computer with MAC OS on it and actually expect it to exel in gaming...
MAC OS is very restrictive and will never be for gaming!! It has alot of other things it exels at however, where win or linux falls short.. (Linux btw is also a bad choice for gaming)
Using MAC OS for gaming is like buying shorts for a alpine vacation you can sure do it, but chances are you will get cold.
The only people developping for macs are mac fans. It's rarely sustainable for little companies, and that's why we see so few games on mac despite the high population using them. Also, those who have a release for mac usually ask for more money because of this reason.
Gaming community is made small on mac because of those reasons, and people prefer to use Windows, making companies dev less and less on mac, making less people play on mac, etc... see ?
Things are changing though, with the cost of an apple computer, people can't afford to buy a window one on the side, and they cater to the games getting out on MacOS.
As for Linux, most companies believe the comunity is too small to meet the extra cost of developping on another OS, and it wouldn't be sustainable. But the OS isn't bad for gaming. Mostly, it's the drivers that aren't supported officially on those distribs. if NVidia doesn't support linux, gaming will be impacted, for instance.
And T-Cell is right, you can play Warband on OSX.
"Do you think the potential approach to getting it out on other platforms would occur before or after the PC release? (If TaleWorlds decided to include other platforms, would those be completed before releasing for PC so that all the chosen platforms are released to the public together at once? Or is TaleWorld's main concern getting the PC version into people's hands even if the BannerLord timeline includes other platform support?)"
Although I completely understand if there is no answer to that question yet because, as you said, you can't confirm if it will even be available on other platforms yet. Just thought maybe the topic was discussed over on your end already, so it wouldn't hurt to ask.
+1
I'd rather see Linux support in one way or another than MAC OS, but all it boils down is cost vs. potential income, and my guess is (as someone already pointed it out above) the target groups are too small to make it even a 3rd priority for TW - we'll sooner see Xbox and Playstation versions of Bannerlord than anything else. But I do see where you guys are coming from, agree with it, and keep my fingers crossed you get MAC support at some point.
