Totally chokes my pc

Installed this today to try it out, and I have no idea why, but it totally chokes me pc to the point I have to hard reset. As soon as I double click the icon, my mouse cursor start moving all jittery, and if I wait long enough, some logo screen comes up, and maybe eventually the title screen, but I couldn't get it to respond at all.
Can't imagine it's due to my hardware given I have an i7-6850, 48GB of ram and a 3080.
Any one else encounter something similar?

I have no idea.. everything else on my pc runs super quick though, so I doubt it.
