Issues with Full Screen on Windows 10

I managed to get the game to install and run fine (after manualy installing DirectX) and the game now runs beautifuly...

For the most part.

I can't get the game to enter full screen, it stays in windowed mode no matter what I do. I adjusted the startup file to disable the starting video (read taht would help the starting issue) and made the resolution equal to that of my monitor's native resoultion (1920x1080).

Here is the startup file:

 'Distant Worlds startup settings
'  to enable a setting remove single quotes from start of line

'To play in Windowed mode set screenwidth and screenheight below
'  width must be at least 1024, height must be at least 768. Width and height cannot be greater than current screen resolution
SCREENWIDTH 1920

Any suggestions? Not gamebreaking its just a minor eyesore to see the windowed bar at the top of the screen.

Open with Windows notepad and change

SCREENWIDTH 1920
SCREENHEIGHT 1080

to

'SCREENWIDTH 1920
'SCREENHEIGHT 1080

and save the file on exit.
