could for the major races such as tau, necron, eldar dark, sister of battle, Chaos, Tyranids, so the player can choose also.

Necrons are already in the game and Tyranids will be soon. I will also be releasing another mod for 41k in a couple weeks and it will have Chaos and the Tau. I'm not adding the Sisters though, they were just another militant branch of the Imperium.

I had to remove some of the art, mostly the GEM stuff, as well as the music. I had my public folder for dropbox temporarily suspended yesterday for hogging up too much bandwidth. Until I can find another host to put the other stuff on this will have to do. I will also be removing the legacy files for now.

Also, about this update, I was kinda short on time due to an unexpected event yesterday so I didn't do write ups for the wonders descriptions or change pictures for facilities at all. Just cosmetic really, but I do plan to take care of that.

Here's the changelog:

-fixes to tech tree
-added some new super techs, removed unnecessary legacy techs
-fixes to character art for new system
-many racial fixes and general racial balancing
-removed better star/planet/etc graphics and most music due to issues with dropbox
The update is ready. I didn't do everything I wanted to, but I decided to go ahead and add the Tyranids and Damned. It will be much easier to balance the races overall after they have all been released and tested. The Damned are just a pre-Heresy Chaos race and I made them a major race at that. I also made many changes and did a lot of balancing with the tech tree. The full list of updates are described better in the changelog below. In addition to this I also made sure to include Japhets new artwork. I am going to add the old graphics back as well for this update, just not the music.

-add independent hanger tech, nerf hangers (fighters are OP and laggy)
-alphabetize race list for all "allowed races"
-add components: Eldar/DA cloaking, Tyranid torpedo, slaver resource gathering, Tyranid bio-repair, Tyranid fleet targeting, Tyranid fleet counter, cloak system for smaller ships, Tyranid warp disruption
-remove resilience, condense with space survival thing
-remove subversive, condense with special cloaking thing
-remove gen mod, condense with cloning mastery
-add eldar, dark eldar and tyranids to infantry supremacy
-rebalanced fighters
-rebalance sensors
-lower gravity beam damage
-tech 0 warp disrupter and better upgrades
-combine trace and resource scanners
-combine fuel with logistics
-combine cloak with scanner jammer
-make infantry supremacy better
-rebalanced orbital work crew modules
-reorganize and alphabetize races and pictures

I found a more recent version floating around and combined it with my changes that I had stored in a notes folder. I will release it as v.13 but I do not recomend it unless you play smaller or shorter games. I could never figure out what was causing it to crash after long games and it seemed like anything I did to try to mitigate it made it worse. It's also not updated and I don't play this game anymore, so I couldn't begin to say if that will be hard or not. If anyone wants to take the mod over they are welcome to. I added my notes folder to the download because it contains the info for the AI update I was working on before I dropped the project.

Hi all..... I am currently working on various mods for Distant Worlds Universe and I have picked up continuing the mod for Warhammer 40,000.

I have picked up a number of issues and once those have been fixed and I find out what causes the mod to crash I will release V14 of the mod.

Then I will expand it further based on the notes I have which were included in V13 which I saved to my computer some time ago.
Over the next few days I will release Version 14 of the Warhammer 40K Mod once I have the bugs ironed out.

I will put an update out when V14 is released as I will want many testers to let me know of any issues they found which will then be fixed in Version 15.

I am going to release a patch update for the mod in the next 48 hours to fix some issues I found in the mod. At least one of the issues could cause the mod to crash so I am going to push out a patch update 14.1 in the next day or 2.
