Whats with the broken genocide
It seems as far as I can see that you have a choice between killing all the other races on one of your planets or none at all. I find this really dissapointing from a role playing perspective. I want to kill all the insects on my planets because of the rise of anti insect attitudes in my empire after the great war. My people like the monkeys but just not the insects so why do I have to kill teh monkeys just because I want to kill the insects.

Is there any way to single out assimilation/exterminations/do not allow, race by race. If not can anybody point me in teh direction of a mod for this as its breaking my immersion a bit

IMHO it's actually okay from RP viewpoint.

Your race is either totally xenophobic (kill all but themself), or average (kill only species of non-your types), or xenophilic (kill nobody).

Because I see no difference between insects and lizards or some kind of furries. :)

Don't forget : you can keep all races from your own family (humanoids, insects, etc).

I know its not really broken but it seems just not properly developed. I just cant understand we we cant just select teh race and set the policy individually. Has anyone made a mod for this?

Yeah, I would love a UI feature to allow specific racial controls for populations. I had one save where I didn't want any other species getting in the way of my Ketarov racial bonus. However, i still wanted to conquer the galaxy. My solution was to start bombing worlds into extinction, so I would have more ketarovs, but not other species. Then i would wait a bit and colonized the now dead worlds and terraform them to heal the quality.
