It's an infection that brings corpses back to life it's never made sense from a medical perspective.
This. I hate to say it but lee is good as dead.
Granted hes already infected despite chopping of his arm and there no cure for the infection. So hes either dead or a walker :)

This is all just hypotheticals so I wouldn't get our hopes up on science or other zombie fiction on bringing Lee Everett back ter life but this story is more about what you pass on to the group so you can live on through your actions guiding them and teaching the group on what is best, this is after all how we as a species grew up to control the earth and in this game we've just got a challenge for us to solve namely survive with our minds cognitively active.
