Clementine's Race
I know there has been a lot of debate over clementine's racial ethnicity (if that's the right word). But from the wiki it says Clementine was originally designed caucasian, but changed to African American later in design, which I do not buy.

Clementine right now, in Season 2, looks dark skinned Korean. I REALLY hope Telltale keeps it that way and stops going through this changes with her personality and/or character design.

Please telltale. Just don't.

She seems mixed race to me- white/ hispanic or white/black.
No, what there has been is people debating her race and ignoring the fact that Telltale she is black and only black and so are her parents.

I don't know why you people keep saying that. Just look at her. Anybody with eyes and a brain can she that she's a mix. She looks mostly asian with some white and maybe some black. Ignore the picture of her parents in S1. For all we know she could have been adopted. Just use your eyes.

Who cares? I mean seriously, how many threads on this topic to we need to have? Will people like the game more/less, if the main character is one race or another? I sure hope not. I hope no one is playing this game and thinking "if only Clem were (insert preferred race) this game would be much better".

Well I've clearly looked at her as I've played both seasons and that changes what Telltale have stated regarding her race how? Character design isn't the same thing as they've also stated the Clementine was designed in a specific way to appeal to a wider audience.

Why does it even matter? I could see if race was the focal point of the game, but it's not. I agree with KONMAN. Who cares? It's a great game with a great story about an imaginary girl who most of us fell in love with. Not many games can get this formula right. WD got it right so don't spoil it with frivolous debate.

Enough said, there's no issue with it. If they for reason suddenly changed her drastically then I will be wtf? why?, but they haven't.

@Hassinator Everything you wrote just above is true.

It was stated that they changed her race to fit with Lee.

Well, the thing is that the word of the developer stays above every apparent observation. It was confirmed in an interview that she's African American, so she is African American.
And I've heard a developer say that she's part asian too. Overall, it seems to me that even Telltale is unclear on what she is, or maybe they just don't really care, which I think is how we should start seeing it too. All this debating about her ethnicity is pretty stupid. I'm just saying use your eyes. Observing and seeing something is much better proof than what somebody says, even if it is the developers themselves.

That's the thing, though. They say she's African American, but she looks nothing like African American. The only resemblance to being African American I see in her is her darker skin. But even that isn't enough to show her as African American. If they say she is, they should show it. But changing her look from season to season is crazy. Just keep the same look she's had through season2. That is all I ask.

Despite everything, I think Clem is black or mostly black. Even if she seems possibly latina in appearance.

Seems like a bad idea to use the zombie appearance of her parents as an example. So going from the scene in the families house:
-Clems mother: She has some typical black characteristics. Her choice of hairstyle and her voice. Looking at the photo I might guess that Clems mother is a mix and not fully black. Possibly with white or asian but I'm going to go with white.
-Cleams Father: I don't think his voice is ever heard. He has a VERY "OJ Simpson after McDonalds" look about him. But it's also possible that he's just a white man with a nice tan. But I'm going to put my foot down and guess he's a lighter-skinned black man.

My final guess on Clem: 3/4 Black, 1/4 White.

That's what I'm saying. Anybody who says she's black is delusional. Just look at her. She obviously isn't black.

They've only ever stated she is black. Unfortunatly no the developer's official word on her race does supercede any observation you can make about especially as they've also stated she has a specific appearance to appeal to a wider audience.

It's like saying that Kenny's urban. Info we get conflicts with the image we see.
