Why did so many people give water to the dying man?
I'm playing through season 2 again and still the vast majority of people gave water to the guy. I'm wondering why? He almost killed you and who knows what he did with Christa. Plus he's dying so why waste water on him?

For one, they probably thought that giving him water would cause him to tell Clem what he knew about Christa. Also, they might have just been trying to play Clem as a merciful good guy. In my good-guy playthough, I actually redid the choice and refused to give him water strictly so that I could give the water to Pete before he died. Even though it makes no difference at all, it felt better than giving it to the bandit.

I didn't give him water either. He doesn't deserve it.

Some people gave him water thinking he would be able to tell them what happened to Christa.

Ah, I can see that reasoning. I personally never thought he'd tell me because he's clearly a douche. I can easily see him taking the water be like "haha screw you sucker."
He only says `thank you` if giving a water to bandit. not much of help and he drink all remain water.

I didn't give it to him!

Survival of the fittest, man.

He wants to be snooping around in the woods and kidnapping ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ (I hate Christa but that's not the point) so I don't want to waste water on ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
I gave him water in hopes it would help him be able to answer me about krista, fail.
never again will he ever touch my water in any future play throughs.

I also gave it to him because I thought he'd tell me something useful, I probably wouldn't have if I'd known the outcome ahead of time.

This game isn't about the general morality of good vs bad guys. It's about the morality of you being a good or bad guy. Even so, who defines what is good or bad in a zombie apocalypse? You might even do things you don't even think to consider right now. Giving water to a dying man, bandit or not, is just granting a last wish to a dead man. You consider if this is a waste or not. As long as you can live by your choice. :dsmagic:

Couple of baser human traits everyone should have.

~Empathy.
~Sympathy.
~Forgiveness.
~Understanding of current situations.
~Bartering.
~The fact that you were surrounded by drinkable water?

If you were in a situation where you KNEW a person was undoubtably going to die but you were in good health, would you use the resources that has kept you in good health for a man who is very likely to have had something to do with your friends kidnapping and would kill you too if he had the chance? Because I know what my answer is!
Your actions define your character, for me Clementine is still a young and kind girl at heart. She understands the world has changed but that doesn't mean you lose your ethics/morals/beliefs. I gave him water.

Maybe because they didn't recognize him. The scene is pretty short and you have a hard time memorizing all those people.

And eventually you can die with a good conscience, except your ethics good your own people killed at the same time.

People gave him water because they thought they'd get a little more story out of it, or that it would matter.
