So, he died for me in episode 2. I'm curious, what happens to him in ep 3 if he survives?

Carver repeatedly beats the ♥♥♥♥ out of him in his office. At the end when Clem activates the radio he stays behind and kills a guard.

If he dies, then.. well. He just isn't there. They mention him few times. It's hard to say because I have no idea where does he appear, when he is alive.

Yeah he's shown being killed.. He's taken to Carver's office early in the episode.

Yep. Because being beaten to a bloody pulp at random intervals over a day and a half and not trying to parkour through skylines or run through lines of dudes with assault rifles makes you a total ♥♥♥♥♥.

He was unconscious before he (barely) made it over to the desk. When exactly should he have tried to leave? While Carver was beating the ♥♥♥♥ out him or while he was passed out?

You obviously have no children. Me personally, I would have tried to escape to be with my family again. He had enough strength to get up, move across the room to a desk, and search for a gun.

No he should have escaped when they were jerking each other off.

The only thing he didn't have in his favor is that he was fat. I'm shocked he made it that long but IMO, he gave up way too easily.

DETAILED SPOILERS:


Alvin gets taken to Carver's office the first night. Troy tells everyone to go to sleep and Rebecca asks where Alvin is.
The next day, Clem is told to go up to Carver's office, and as she walks upstairs Rebecca is leaving the office and crying. Once you enter, you see Alvin beaten to a bloodied pulp in an office chair. Carver tells you "he passed out" though honestly, I thought he was dead at that point.
Later when you go to turn on the PA, Rebecca tells you to make sure Alvin comes with you. When you get to the office, you can try to shake him awake or talk to him with no response. Once the PA is on and working, he's revealed to be awake and he finds a gun in the drawer. You then have a dialogue option (I chose "can you try and stall them" or something), and he tells you to look after his girls - he 'has the feeling its going to be a girl'.
He then gets shot by a guard who enters the office, but Alvin manages to shoot the guard before he dies.
When you meet up with the group, Rebecca asks where Alvin is, and then realizes why he's not coming.
