-The state of Georgia is known for peaches.
-Georgia girls are often refered to as 'Georgia peaches'.
-Clem is born in Georgia.
-The girl on the can of peaches bears a striking resemblance to Clem.
Clem is a Georgia peach. ^^
Anyway:

And:

Mind you, the term 'Georgia Peach' is older than the Urban Dictionary, which in my perception is a bit too chauvinistic with their definition of it. It kinda gives a negative vibe to it, especially since I know a Georgia girl who uses the reference as a badge of honor.
Essentially, I think that the tin of peaches joke in the game goes over the heads of many people as the joke is very regional indeed and people outside of the US are very likely to not see the subtlety of it. Which is a shame.

Cuold be true since alvin and walter making this joke and they are both dead now.
So your saing clementine put herself on the peaches so she could send herself a message, that actualy makse more sence then Doctor who doing it, and probably could be a Walking Dead episode.
