Does Walter die anyhow ?

I made the choice to follow kenny and I didnt even say that he should shoot, yet he did. That caused Carver to take walter and kill him. So does he die anyway ? If you surrender and stay with alvin what happens then ?

Yes, Walter dies in every playthrough. The determinant deaths are Nick, Alvin, and possibly Carlos, but so far only one person claims to have got him killed.
