The Answer is nothing good. Pregnancy by its very nature makes women very dependent on others for basic necessities of life. There are so many possible explanations as to the why that I can barely even begin to account for them all during the sixteen months that elapsed since...
...omid's death. Let me count the ways things can go wrong just off the top:
1. Childbirth...The baby would have to be born without complications to survive this. Clem isn't a OBGYN doctor child prodigy despite her supernatural skills and gifted (for TWD universe) even towering genius level intellect.
2. Zombies...They are everywhere so all that running around in a panicky fashion isn't good for the baby. Moreover if that baby even left Christa's hand for a second...
3. Exposure to the Elements: Intense cold without a safe shelter to shield against it could kill the baby by itself.
4. Parasites/Bacteria in the Drinking Water: They drink from rivers and don't carry around a pot and camp fire making equipment to purge their drinking water of parasites. A bad bug can kill you or make you sick and susceptable to infection which in turn makes you very likely to die in TWD especially since the entire world might as well be one big sacrifice to a very subtle version of Nurgle the Plague God from Warhammer universe.
5. Other Survivors: Use your imagination here...I'm not even going to try and fill this one in...
+Too many more to contemplate...
No there is no official explanation but honestly does there even have to be if you can even halfway read in between those lines? I'd think not.
Maybe they got rid of the baby cause theres no room for it storywise since krista gone.
Yeah, I know. I was simply saying that having some one like Daryl, and a group as tight as Rick's group is, would be good if you were having a baby.
It didn't dawn on me that they might not want to explain how Christa and Clem were able to survive all this time with a baby. Just the two of them and a little one, that would be a story-line all it's own.
shes 8-9 months preg, be a still born nor a miscarrige.
Spoilers so dont read if you havent seen all the tv seasons.
They show Kids, killed in the Tv show and Duck died in the game.
Tv show u see the bullet go in and the child go down. First episode tv show yes.
Lizzie Nope, Sophia, yep, So kids can be killed, they made rick carl the baby died.
Spoilers so dont read if you havent seen all the tv seasons.
Also I think that the reason the child is not shown dying is because telltale felt is was unnecisary and they wanted to get from Omid dying to Christa getting seperated as fast as possible.
You got me wrong. Kids can't DIE on screen. Dead kids on screen are not a problem apparently.
