How to import saves from the first game?
Hey all, I recently got the entire Telltale TWD franchise after having the first game for years and so I decided to do a replay of the first game with the intention of importing my saves between games. However, I launched Season Two just now and I can't quite seem to figure out how to do it. The My Choices menu is locked, the Save Files menu has no option to do it and I looked online to no avail.

Does it just automatically do this or am I missing something? I'd like to have a continual story throughout the entire series if possible. Thanks for any answers!

I haven't played this in awhile, but I know that I was confused about it as well initially. I believe that I ended up just starting the second season and, when I did, it asked if I wanted to import the game from the first one. Give it a try. If that doesn't work, you can always stop the game right away and try a different method (if you get another/better answer).

Try copying the folder with save files from the first game to the second one. I believe these are in My Documents if you're on Windows.

Ah yes, this worked for me. Thanks for the response! And thanks, vindictivuoto, as well!

You're welcome. I'm glad it worked as I thought. Enjoy your game!

I'm sure I will, Telltale was so underappreciated!

I believe when you start up TWD S2 without an existing save file, you should be able to select a save file from The Walking Dead S1 as long as you have the game installed and a save file.

However, if your save file is not completed, the game will make random choices for all dialogue and choices.

Yeah, I made sure I completed a full playthrough and the DLC for the first game before playing the second game, so that I could enjoy a complete story!

Can yall help me? I'm having the same problem, except the save choice is locked even after trying to rewind...

Did you try starting a new profile/playthrough? That did it for me but I can't guarantee it'll solve the problem for you.
