apparently because the people who wore these jackets supported slavery, and because rebecca is black. i thought it was pretty obvious, even though im not too familiar with American history. i thought it misplaced a bit. no one at this point would care anymore, as rebecca clearly stated herself.

They were at a Civil War museum in the south. The jacket was from a Confederate uniform (the side that supported slavery if you are unfamiliar). It is silly that anyone should care though. A jacket is a jacket.

I realy liked how Rebecca brushed the whole issue aside, like it didn't mean anything.. Showed maturity I thought. The only thing on her mind was her baby, and she just wanted him to be safe.

Honestly it seemed rather stupid. It's a damn coat man. You are going to ignore a valid source of warmth in this cold weather because of the actions of part of a country that pretty well no longer exists? This is the zombie apocalypse, wake the heck up man!

Remember the past, but in this situation shelve it somewhere until you have the luxury to worry about it.
