The Walking Dead: Season Two

The Walking Dead: Season Two

View Stats:
Rank these 3 games...The Last Of Us, The Walking Dead Season 1, or The Walking Dead Season 2
Rank these from 1 being best to 3 being worst
FOR EXAMPLE:
1.The Last Of Us
2. The Walking Dead Season One
3.The Walking Dead Season Two

I'd probably say:
1.The Walking Dead Season 2
2.The Last Of Us
3.The Walking Dead Season 1

I just recently finished both The Walking Dead Season 2(just a few minutes ago :p) and The Last Of Us aswell as the expansion pack 'Left Behind'(Yesterday). I'd probably say those two might be tied...especially because of The Last Of Us's gameplay...but IDK. You decide!

Opinion.
Why? As despite similarities in setting they are completly different types of games. Why just those games. Why not Organ Trail? or Fallout?

Fallout isn't very similair as it's more of a 'RPG' than an action adventure game. Also while The Last Of Us is technically a 3rd person shooter game,it just feels a lot more like "The Walking Dead" then most other zombie games.

From what I've seen, "The Last Of Us" is just another generic shooter, where if it moves it's a target. No real depth, just "Here's a gun, it's how we interact with other people". God forbid there might be even a second of gameplay that's not filled with the repetitious act of shooting.

"The Walking Dead" is different. It's primarily story and character driven. The gameplay basically comes in the form of the moral choices you have to make.

That is why "The Walking Dead" is vastly superior (unless you're looking for another generic shooter).

TLOU was cool for one playthrough but forgettable when compared to TWD from Telltales...well mainly Season 1 which is a CLASSIC. TLOU, I beat it over a weekend and never bothered with it again ...has a nice story but I was not attached to the main characters like I was with Lee and Clem.

Here is why TWD can be compared to TLOU so heavily. They are really similar in terms of character arks. The two main characters in TLOU and TWD have REALLY close arks, and hell both games end with the main character doing everything they can to save the younger child. Bioshock Infinite is really similar in that aspect. That has always been my problem with TLOU, I would have recieved it better if I had not experienced TWD first. So for my money it is:
1. TWD Season 2: It took everything from the first season and improved on it tremondously. Except the fourth episode still blows.
2. TWD Season 1: Fantastic story.
3. TLOU: Sorry Joel, sorry Ellie. You are a great game, but are so highly overrated.

Eh...i guess it's kinda buised considering the fact that this is a forum on The Walking Dead...so...ya. Don't get me wrong in some aspects "The Last Of Us" is ovverated. But when you get that popular how can you not be? Also...it's not just a "generic shooter". It's oneo f the few games that has actually stemed away from that!

It's gameplay...while generic...those what it has to do to make some parts of the game's campaign interesting(similair to The Walking Dead). Sure it might not be the best gameplay out there...but it's serviceable. Also while The Last Of Us got repetitive it's one of the few games out there where i really feel like it's an entire story in one package. There's no cliffhanger,no "to be continued"...and honestly as much as i want one,a sequel wouldn't even be neccessary.Don't get me wrong...one of the reasons i love The Walking Dead so much is because it makes you wait for a continuation of the story...but if "The Last Of Us" was such a generic and ovverated shooter it wouldn't be a 16 hour campaign that tells a tale that begins and ends like a 3 part movie in one package.

Anyways...that's just my opinion! I haven't played The Walking Dead Season 1 in a while...but i love 2 just as much as the last of us if not more...

Also i'm not a Sony Fanboy if that's what you're thinking...i don't own any system of there's except a PS4 :p . I just got into Sony

Also i got to say...this is a pretty ignorant conmment. No offense...and i reallly mean it when i say NO OFFENSE...because i've been very ignorant at times to...but you have to play the entire campaign in person to really appreciate The Last Of Us. You can't just pick up the game for 15 minutes or even watch a walkthrough for 3 hours and just expect to suddenly get a unbiased opinion about a game as major as TLOS. You have to experience it! Trust me...the first hour or two of it ... i wasn't impressed at all! But once you finish it(and it's good DLC might i add...) you really get to appreciate it more than you would going on a whim.
Well it is fairly innaccurate when a lot of TLOU's gameplay is not entirely shooting. Walking Dead isn't really that different in terms of story season one is focused around the relationship between Lee & Clementine. The Last Of Us is less about getting Ellie to where they need to go but the relationship that develops between the two of them over the course of the journey.

While you can say TLOU is overrated you can say the exact same thing about Walking Dead.

I think. I dont know about 2 and 3. I loved TLOU but if im honest i cant remember that much of it, just remember loving it. Where as TWD season 1, ill never forget Lee and Clem. Enjoyed season 2 alot but prefer 1.

Was WAY disappionted at first playing as Clem after the whole first season pretecting her, i enjoyed that role and feel. Warmed to the idea come episode 2 and enjoyed it but thats why 3rd place i guess.
