Tone down nearby fog in forest?

This may not be something that can be resolved game side, I use a Quest 2 and switch between Steam Link and Virtual Desktop. With SL while in the forest, the bitrate has a heart attack, making me borderline blind while walking in the fog and able to count the pixels giant pixels on the screen, only able to pick out some blotches as possible points of interest.
