Running without Steam VR?
I'm PCVR with a Quest 3. Everything else I launch off the Oculus environments off the recents tab and it'll run using the Oculus VR runtime whatever. This is putting up a fight. The only reason I ask is because my other games tend to run better launched through Oculus, even though my library is strictly through Steam.

I think you can type some command in the app launch settings to run the game without SteamVR, but then the controls on some buttons will be messed up.

Usually people do the opposite, as the Oculus utility affects performance the most. I suggest playing through Steam Link

Thank you for that. I don't know why I'm the odd one out, always seems that way. I'll give Steam Link a try later on.

Welp, I can honestly say running it off Oculus has better results for me. Similar with Into the Radius. I hardwire normally. Using SteamVR app makes it wireless, lowers resolution, makes things darker, and sort of messes with grip angles. Performance through SteamVR puts my CPU into the red consistently, never backing down. GPU on the other hand was easy in the green, but that's probably from the lowered resolution. Also, it crashed. I've yet to have a crash through regular Oculus load ins. Just my two cents.

If you want the best experience, buy Virtual Desktop, and launch the game through Virtual Desktop's Steam Launcher. Every game looks MILES better through Virtual Desktop. At least in my experience. I don't use AirLink or SteamLink at all anymore.
