Skill Trees and Their Corresponding Weapons?

Heya! Hope you're all still enjoying the game like me :)

Was wondering if any of you have taken the time, or just know, what guns correspond to which skills (long guns vs short) ?

I'd like to dump my skill points into something that would affect the MAC-10, but for some reason in my brain I'm like, "this is a machine pistol not a long gun."

I haven't really seen anyone list what weapons correspond to what skills. Sorry if this was covered already, maybe I missed it.

I don't know either. I just presume that, for the most part, primary weapons are 'long' and secondaries are 'short,' with shotguns being the 'misc' weapon for the reload skill.

misc weapons aren't just shotguns, they also extend to bolt actions (R700 + VP9) and single shot types (eg tranquiliser, multi launcher, flare gun) :>

True. I was just naming the most common categories, but the OP asked for detail; a failure on my part.
