Still, the biggest different is that in OG, takedown enemies won't alert rest of them, and there is a one-hit-kill difficulty in OG, in which you can one shot enemy and they can one shot you. I miss this one.
Anyway, just play, and if you met anything unpleasant, you can start another thread.

It shows you level stats, like kill count, in your pause screen. It is especially helpful when you try to Kill everyone as Steve, since after you went full assault, more enemies may spawn, and it can be a little bit painful to track and kill everyone of them.
Also, just in case you wanna know: Duality of Man demands you Kill everyone when you PLAY AS STEVE. That means, when you play as Sean with AI steve as your companion, just don't kill anyone yourself, steve...just let him be.
Another little fact---in the level you meet Steve for First time, you will first play as Steve, then as Sean. Don't touch Unique weapon as steve, since only Sean can unlock unique weapon(like Ruger) by bring them and extract.
Duality of Man is an Achievement that ask you to kill no one when PLAYING AS SEAN, while kill everyone when PLAYING AS STEVE. The mod I posted let you keep track of the NPC's status and numbers, so you know if you kill anyone/kill everyone.
As for gameplay and stuff, theres really no credible differences that could be interpreted as a LOSS. Maybe theres a door here or there which was added or removed, more or less guards, ect ect, but its by and large an immense improvement even if not EVERY SINGLE thing is the same. I suppose if you became an IMMENSE intravenous superfan, sure, play 1 just to see, because there are differences, but idk if its worth dropping 10 dollars on basically the same game
