Campaign Mission Order? Maximum confusion

I am confused. After finishing the second "Gideons Place" Mission I dont know how or where to continue the campaign? Clicking "Continue" just gives me the savespot in the last played level again.
"Load Map" shows a bunch of missions but they're all out of order (part 2 missions before part 1).

you'd just cleared the mercenarism campaign
it's a 2-level campaign for a now-removed IV2 demo

I did the same thing, after playing through the free demo a few months back, I completed it and was only able to reload my last save. You have to start a new game as another character. Hope this helps:)
