You asked, and we delivered. As part of our ongoing efforts to enhance visibility in Ticket to Ride, we're excited to introduce a brand new way to navigate that's more intuitive and accessible than ever before.

A new, simplified map view, alongside numerous visibility improvements to the overall map design, is now officially LIVE!

What's New:

Simplified Map

Experience a new view of the game map that puts the focus on your strategy! The Simplified Map features a two-tone design that makes it easier to distinguish it from the tracks, along with new train token material and glow effects for improved visibility, all accessible through a convenient toggle function. Available across all map expansions, existing and future!

Enabling the Simplified Map

You can toggle between map views directly from the game settings:

Simply navigate to the ‘‘Settings’’ menu within the game.
From there, you'll find the option to toggle the Simplified Map on or off with just a click. It's as easy as that!

And the best part? You can adjust this setting at any time during gameplay. You have full control over how you view your journey – whether you prefer scenic routes or express travel, the choice is yours!

Enhanced Visibility (Default Map)

In addition to the Simplified Map, enjoy more playing space, increased clarity for map elements (including tracks and tokens), improved contrast with track shadows, and minimised visual effects in the default map for a more accessible yet immersive gameplay experience!

Time Options & AFK Players

Hi, even playing blitz, people take forever with the extra 20 seconds they get. This means AFK players really hold up the game and I see no way to kick them. Can we have an option to turn off this extended timer also, if you take to long you get random choices made....

Using 1 Station for 2 Routes: Missing Rules for Stations? (Europe)

If I use stations on Europe map, I never know, if it works. There is no feedback during the game. But worse: At the end, it is random which route counts and which not. I had one station for 3 cards. One of them uses the route left of the station; two of the uses the route right of the station. At the end only the left route was used, but not the right one. So I lost two cards. There was no way to decide and in the rules, there is no mention, that one station can count for only one route and not for all the...

Personally I prefer the old game, the new 3d maps seem so cluttered. Hard to see where I am meant to be going with tickets. Needs a 2D simple mode.

beware of the player LHxD !!!!! he finished not 1 ROUTE !!!! he only blocked my ways and won only because of my blocked routes , which produced negative results !!!! can u ban such players ?

I mean, it was quite literally unplayable at first, but now it seems to function okay. Managed to get a good few rounds in with friends. Not as good as the previous version as there are too many clicks needed to place trains, amongst a few other foibles, but overall an okay experience worth picking up for anyone looking to play ticket to ride from beyond the tabletop.

Patch Version 1.2.4

Hello travellers,

Today, we’re rolling out our latest patch update, which not only brings visibility improvements to the game across all platforms but also addresses stability and performance. This update includes:

Map Visibility Improvements (Phase 1):

Adjusted camera framing for all screen sizes to provide a closer view of the map
Enhanced train and track visibility
Improvements to city names for increased readability
General improvements to the map to increase clarity

This is just Phase 1 of our map visibility improvements, and it is just the beginning! Phase 2 will be released imminently and it will bring a brand new map view to the game. Stay tuned!

Bug Fixes:

Changed the "Quit" button to "Resign" for clarity when leaving the game permanently. Thank you for raising this!
Fixed a bug that could cause the game to get stuck if a player's timer expired when there were no cards to pick up
Fixed a bug that would sometimes cause the game to get stuck after changing your screen resolution
Fixed several stability issues caused by edge cases
