REVIEW: WHY AREN'T PEOPLE PLAYING THIS MORE?!
OK, I've played FPSs before, and I've played a slew of RPG-based horde-survival games before. I've never experienced both of these genres mashed together before, and I don't know why the {REDACTED} these aren't done more.

Because holy hell, this is a good game!

Enough of a fast pace to get the adrenaline pumping but also has a few seconds of reprieve to refocus (once you cleared the field, that is). The power-ups are cool - absolutely loving the Drone and Bernard. The starter weapon initially felt weak, but only needing 2 shots against the flyers is enough for me. The upgrades are nice because I was jonesing for a pick-up range, and buffing that and the XP gain enough meant the levels kept coming and coming. Also love that you get special weapons and akimbo-mode AND they can be stacked - dual mini-gun is an absolute dream! Also the ability choice screen music makes me giggle, the fact that it's so out of place to the massacre outside of the screen. Almost makes me think I should be listening to the lobby music for Annihilation Nation in "Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal".

I could not find fault in anything other than 1.5-2.5 nitpicks:
> There are no graphics settings at all in the game (though they seem to be running fine without my PC fans going into overdrive, so that's not really an issue)
> The Coin/Eternal values (stock, not cost) don't seem to present themselves in either the mid-fight Equipment screen, nor the post-game rewards
> Only had a bit of a panic when I saw the purple crystals were called Eternal, which is the name of a long-defunct cryptocurrency for a long-defunct "game"

Other than that, "Slyders" is a solid game! I look forward to how the demo changes in the lead-up to the full game itself!
