Neighbours from Hell problem
Hey guys, I'm having troubles with Neighbours from Hell. I can no longer move around the camera with the arrow keys on my keyboard or my mouse when I direct the cursor to the left, the right, or anywhere else for that matter. The camera is just frozen and refuses to move, but the game is still working perfectly! I don't know how to fix that. Anyone has the same problem?

I have the same problem. I played the first 5 episodes without any problem and then suddenly the problem appeared. I can't move the camera, therefor i can't continue the game...

My problem has actually been solved ! A friend advised me to restart steam because it didn't have the chance to do some update. But I doubt it's often the main problem. I read that some people had this problem too, and you actaully have to change something within the game options in the programs you have on your computer.

I had the same problem with both NFH and NFH2, I tried everything, including changing the options file, then I unistalled both of the games and only reinstalled the first one, it started to work perfectly, no more frozen screen.

Go to: \Documents\JoWooD\NFH1 and open "gameoptions" with notepad
And try changing: (either one of these alone or in combination could work for you)
- "ingame autoscroll" from false to true
- "screen fullscreen" from true to false
- "backbuffer" from 0 to 1
Remember to save!

!!!This method might make the game lag depending on which OS you choose!!!
You can go to: Steam\steamapps\common\Neighbours from Hell\bin
And Right click on "game" go to properties, Compatibility
Check: "Run this program in compatibility mode for:"
And select: Windows 8, 7, xp or 98
Apply
RESTART YOUR COMPUTER AFTER CHANGING THE COMPATIBILITY SETTINGS
(This method worked for me, I think....)

You can also try updating your Directx

If you are on win 8 or further, it might be the case that Windows just wants to update and is being pesky. Update&Restart solved my issue yesterday.
