But also I want to make mods. And I don't want this game to go the way of Age of Darkness and TAB, whose developers were against modding to such an extent they changed their games to be inaccessible to any kind of modding, even eventually unpacking and repacking .dll files (TAB modding did this). To me, this killed the longevity of their games, they were each games one could put hundreds of hours into. They lasted a few dozen for me. Let this one be different
Fully agreed. Mods give games a lot of longevity, and I'm grateful for the ones they did manage to pull through for TAB but the potential could be so much more.
In case someone does read into these threads: this unit json and map editor are a great start. Let us change their model sizes as well, their spawn rates during hordes or on map creation (unless that's a map option). And/or let us change the rest of the difficulty/horde/map generation rates for each unit. Or create custom difficulties/map settings.
Those are some good ideas. I'll see if I can expose the wave difficulty settings and some more unit parameters in the next content update.
i ask because im not having any luck (not a programmer) putting your example changes to work !!
*edit* doest even have to be a snippit, unit stats complete file would be nice too :D
*edit* figured it out :) - edit the file in appdata/localnow and not game directory :D
:D!
