Deep Rock Galactic: Rogue Core

Deep Rock Galactic: Rogue Core

To those wondering why they don't just slap it on as a DLC
It looks to be very different from the core class-based in-and-out style of DRG. No classes, five levels then a boss, mid-cave perks, enough time in the cave to justify a saferoom, etc- it's mechanically different enough that grafting it on as a DLC would probably be more work than just making a new game. If you're worried about paying for a whole new game or that you won't get to use your skins or whatever in this game, GSG already said that Rogue Core will have a discount for DRG owners, and they'll probably do something with skins too. Be positive.

And stop whining about Season 5 being delayed, for Karl's sake, we're still getting balance changes and events. TF2 gets a reheated Halloween every year and that's it, and the community there is fine. We're not gonna curl up and die of starvation because we have to wait a bit.

I wish they would make this Deep Rock Galactic in more serious tone than the first DRG.
I know it's not gonna happen, but one can dream...
I was thinking less action and more horror... something like Dead Space.

A lot of people on the Discord were thinking the same thing. There's a real chance it will at least be serious, though full horror and rougelites aren't exactly a hand in hand concept. It's more likely to be insidious rather than jumpscare-ey

The devs have said in the livestream they were looking into making this more horror like, but the current gameplay would make it hard to make it full horror.
I would say its still very posible to make DRG:RC a Thriller game. I would consider DRG1 more of an action based game, and it certainly can get a bit more tense in atmosphere and gameplay with level design, sound, and more intense gameplay.

Perils of one renowned dwarf lost in deepest depths of Hoxxes, lair of most terrifying bugs and alien horrors beyond mere insects would be nice base for horror game in DRG setting.
We are getting 'Realistic depiction of Scout soloing mission (in Scouts head)' as DRG:surviviors. Could dream about another spinoff.

Having a horror vibe would do plently.

Danger, darkness, triple chin.

Waiting for proper trailer before i give judgement on whether or not it seems "seperate enough"
