I was thinking less action and more horror... something like Dead Space.
A lot of people on the Discord were thinking the same thing. There's a real chance it will at least be serious, though full horror and rougelites aren't exactly a hand in hand concept. It's more likely to be insidious rather than jumpscare-ey
I would say its still very posible to make DRG:RC a Thriller game. I would consider DRG1 more of an action based game, and it certainly can get a bit more tense in atmosphere and gameplay with level design, sound, and more intense gameplay.
We are getting 'Realistic depiction of Scout soloing mission (in Scouts head)' as DRG:surviviors. Could dream about another spinoff.
