Baccarat Glitch?
So I have found what I will consider a glitch in Baccarat,

Its seems the Baccarat table takes an additional rake on lost tie Bets when either player or banker is also played.

Here is an example, If you bet 5k on player and 1k on tie and player hits the payout is 4k.
the table rakes the 1k bet on tie and an additional 1k from your winnings on the player bet, but should pay 5k

I looked about some, but could find no mention of this additional rake in any Baccarat sources. and is not in the in game instructions.

Just tested this myself, it is correct.

Your 5k bet on player wins, but your 1k tie bet loses, so your net profit is 4k.

Well think about this, In my example the total bet is 6k a 5k bet on player spot is supposed to pay 5k and a 1k bet on tie is supposed to play 8k.

Now if the tie hits the player bet is returned and the 8k is paid.

The way it is supposed to play according to the instructions is if the player bet hits you lose the 1k bet on tie but win the payout from the player bet, or in this example win 5k, the table rakes the 1k bet on tie as a lost bet.

The table is taking a double rake from the tie bet, the 1k bet on the tie and an additional 1k from the winnings on the player bet.

Not only is this additional rake not mentioned in the instructions, it is not mentioned in the out of game Baccarat literature I have viewed so far.

When you place a bet on any of the 3 poitions your loss in the event you do not win is only supposeed to be the amount you bet.

I would be all good with this if the additional rake were described in the instructions, or a direction to a out of game source that describs this.

As it is now the game instructions claim that tie bet pays 8:1 player bet pays 1:1 and banker bet pays 1:1 minus commision.

No place does it state that a bet on tie with a subsequent bet and win on either player or banker will result in doubling the loss amount made on tie.

I wish to thank you for your prompt reply mmaglutac, Best regards C
Here is the math, lets say you only had the 6k chips to begin with, so after betting them, you now have 0 chips. The player wins, you get back the 5 you bet plus the 5 for winning and now you have 10K for a totat gain of 4k.

Yeah its the way that the chip wins and losses are displayed that had confused me, the math worked but the display skips one of the processes and only shows the total of all processes.
When you lose you see the result and when you win you see the result but the result when there is a multiple bet does not show the results from two separate processes.

In any event I have concluded this game is not for me, ;) .. in some dozens of sessions obtaining the tier points I managed to only break even once and come out a little ahead once, all the other sessions were costly for well over a million chips total.
I found this to be slightly odd as I consistently played one position and had thought overall it would perhaps ballance out to something closer to 50/50 then what I experienced.
I guess I am just terribly, very, extremely, particularly, hugely, intensely, really unlucky at Baccarat.
Here is a Red Hot Tip: If you ever see me playing baccarat bet the opposite for a sure thing!
