Video Blackjack odds

I've heard someone say video blackjack has about a 2% house edge. However, the Four Kings video blackjack seems to give you 7 hands at 25 chips each, when you place a min bet of 200 chips... so you get 175 of actual bets placed, but pay 200 chips for those bets?

Am I missing something here? Or is the house really raking in 1/8 of the bet with every hand of video blackjack??

I have noticed similar. It seems like things like busts and 21's also have a lot of influence on the payouts, as well. Like, Busting penalizes you more than the dealer simply getting a higher score than you.

That said, if the top-prize doesn't scale with bet, then it may be worth just playing at minimal bets and hope for all of the 21's.

You pay for 8 hands in video blackjack, but only play 7. This gives a house edge of around 9-10%, which is more typical of other machine games like keno.

Video blackjack only uses 1 deck, so getting multiple blackjacks is difficult, but you also see 7 hands. In normal single-deck blackjack, you only see your own hand because seeing such a large part of the deck gives the player an advantage.

yeah...I figured too that one deck with that many cards face up means a smart player can adjust strategy based on what cards are showing.

I'm not that smart though :D just basic strategy for me

21 is a game I do not at all care for, hehe ... the machine version compounds exponentially my dislike of this game.

I have often wondered of the many tasks that I have seen folks gripe about why no persons have shed tears over this game being a task.
I may have never done the RP task for this game or perhaps once I did to experience the torture of it, of the many times I have recieved it as a task.
