WE JUST NEED ONE EL PUBLISHERS! PICK THE ONE YOU LIKE AND LETS STICK WITH IT! (Honestly, most think Steams the best... or the least evil, but at this point, so long as it's one united service, I don't give a spam.)
This link may help you. It just helped me with Might & Magic VI.

Here is a link to a thread where other users have been having problems:

Note the thread is not in the forums linked from the game page because until a day or two ago it had no forums of its own (an oversight by ubisoft).
In the case of this game it may not just be the usual uplay naysayers who speak up on it being an unwanted addition to the game
Hear that developers? I won't pay you money that I otherwise want to because of uPlay. Does that register at all with you? I'm not alone, I am the voice of millions.
At least they let you buy it on Steam and don't make it a Uplay exclusive, like EA do with their games on Origin.
Ubisoft may be the European EA, absolutely horrible towards consumers and utter morons in many ways in their own right, but they're smart enough to know where the money is and how to get it. They're also basically "poaching" or trying to anyway, their hope is that by FORCING uPlay on their customers through Steam they can get customers to start using it instead of Steam.
