clear data from agarest #1
so what exactly is involved with loading a save file from agarest #1 into zero?

i get some item(s) and points and such? if someone could give me a detailed explanation or a link to what the bonuses are that would be sweet

also is it a true end save file only? (and if so how far into the tru end does it need to be? beat the gods and the chaos or something? i hope i dont have to make it all the way to extended boundary plane)

aaaand doing this unlocks extra mode right away? if this is correct what is extra mode? my guess would be the agarest #1 side story u can playthrough but im not sure

thanks in advance my nets running like an absolute sloth so im having trouble googling these things myself and would like to know especially since i may need to finish up this tru end run if its something i want to do

To simply put it, loading a cleared saved file from Agarest 1 just gives you a minor boost to begin Agarest Zero. All that is involved is that you have a clear save and in Zero under New Game there will be an option to load your save file.

Yes from the save file you get some Items and points, the Items are The Antediluvian Cosh, Geriatric Cuirass, and the Eld Emblem. A weapon, an armor and an accessory respectively.

The stats for the weapons are:

Antediluvian Cosh (Staff):
Atk: 33 STR 11
Def: 25 VIT: 11
Mag: 0 AGI: 0
Hit: 100 LUK: 0
AVD: 0 AP: 1
Mov: 0

Slots (Sample Skills):
Power: (Power Attack)
Power: (Power Attack)
Special: (Trick Hit)
Earth: (Earth Needle)

Attributes
None

Geriatric Cuirass (Armor):

ATK: 11 STR 11
DEF: 250 VIT: 11
MAG: 0 AGI: 0
RST: 0 INT: 0
Hit: 11 LUK: 0
AVD: 0 AP: 1
Mov: 0

Slots (4 for passive skills AP++ etc)

Attributes:
Resistant to Earth (Defense)
Absorbs Fire

Eld Emblem:
Atk: 25 STR 11
Def: 25 VIT: 11
Mag: 0 AGI: 0
Rst: 0 INT: 0
Hit: 11 LUK: 0
AVD: 0 AP: 1

In addition to these three save items you get a certain amount of points.

The points are:

Enhance Points (EP): 50,000
Technical Points (TP): 2,500
Party Point (PP): 2,500

It doesn’t have to be a true end save file, just a save filed that cleared the game in any mode. If you have a true end save file it is just up to where you beat Chaos in the boundary plane for the story mode.

You are correct in that Extra Mode is unlocked when you choose to load a clear saved file. Extra mode is basically Hard Mode for Agarest Zero.

Also Extra mode unlocks Digest Mode, an abridged version of the first game (no battle points only events). It follows the True End and your choices will have no effect on the story line but will still affect the affections of the heroines. Although the affection is insignificant to your bride choice as it chooses the cannon brides for you automatically (unless it is changed from the PS3 and Xbox Version) which are Fyuria -> Valeria - >Lavinia -> Hildegard. Although that isn’t to say that the affection level does not have any meaning. The Affections are used to unlock certain CG from the previous game.

Now don’t get confused this isn’t the full game of Agarest 1. It is an abridged version and certain events are missing. Also Extra Mode unlock certain characters from the first one, basically only the heroes and heroines (Once you complete a generation) plus Ellis and Dyshana. You receive Leo and Ellis early on in the game with the others spread throughout Zero.

TL:DR: You can use any save file, doing so unlocks Digest Mode and Extra Mode, and you get some ok starting armor and weapons plus points.

Please NOTE: that this CAN be changed for the PC version. My information comes from my own experiences on the Xbox and PS3 versions of the game.

awesome reply :D Im glad to see i can load my bad/dark end file, i really didnt want to force myself to smash through the true end this week.

and so extra mode is hard mode? without clear data would i have had to start on normal then do hard mode? (is that correct? thats somewhat lame imo as i like to always play on the highest difficulty)

Yup, if you don't load your save the only available difficulty is normal mode. And just like before if you start on normal only the points carry over to Extra mode. Items won't carry over.

Yea I like playing on the highest difficulty too, and Extra Mode is hard but not as hard as the original.

nuts, i was hoping to play zero first since it's a prequel, o well..

if your planning on playing both i would recomend starting with agarest #1 anyway

I agree with Vash. Even tho there are more battle points to grind through...it is the order the games go in. Well...the order in which they were released. :)
