Save the game before using a cheat; if you don't, then sometimes the game will freeze up on you. If you find that your game does freeze after you have used a cheat, then you simply have to type "chareditor" in the console.
I don't have problems with game freezes if I use the tilde character (~) to both open and close the console; don't use the "x" on the console's window to close it.
Another reason, not so important in this game, but a major consideration when playing an rpg that can go on for 100+ hours, is that I have a job, wife, and kids. My game time is severely limited, and sometimes the only way to get anywhere in a game within those limits is to forgo the tedium. I "cheat" as little as possible, though- I fight all my battles, learn all the spells, etc. It's just not fun if you suck all the challenge out by cheating-- is this what you mean?
out of curiosity when I first instaled this I changes the refesh to 60 to "freq - 60" to stop it bugging as much, do I have to put any symbol bettween that and the comand for "console" or do I just use the old spacebar no comas or semi colons etc??
