The near future Dystopian Cyberpunk world of Deus Ex creates an atmosphere very similar to the Bleak mysterious and secretive world of Vampire: The Masquerade. Both are excellent action RPGs with lots of character customization and great stories with multiple endings.
They were both developed in the early two thousands so if you didn’t think Bloodlines was too dated graphically or mechanically then Deus Ex shouldn’t be a problem for you. Deus Ex is on Steam for a relatively decent price and I couldn’t recommend it enough.
With that said, you might want to check Deus Ex: Human revolution [the new one, not the old one mentioned by the above poster]. It's nowhere near as good and the story and characters are not very good, but it did give me some serious VTM:B flashbacks as i was playing it.
It's first person, with a third person cover system.
Missions can be tackled by going in guns blazing or with stealth, by sneaking in through ducts, hacking doors and security cameras or using a cloaking devise.
Cybernetic implants mimic the attribute and discipline system of VTM:B by granting you special abilities (Cloaking, See through walls, A 360º attack, etc..) as well as augment your physical capabilities (faster and longer sprinting, higher jumps, tougher armor, etc..)
Maps and regions are separated into small city fragments where you can derp about, buy stuff, find side quests just like in VTM:B.
You might want to check it out.
Graphics has never been an issue for me. After my opinion, some of the best games ever created, was made around the two thousands.
Anyways, since both of you are recommending Deus Ex, i will definitivly look into both of them. And thanks a lot for such a detailed description of the game. Saves me a lot of time on the internet, reading through how the game is and works.
Oh, and also - if you two, or anyone else has any other rpgs similar to this one, i would love to hear!
Thanks a lot you two!
It’s on Steam for a pretty great price.

If you’re worried about wasting your money or time you should go onto YouTube and watch some reviews and “lets plays” of these games to see if you like the look of them. I find it very useful to see a game played on YouTube before I purchase.
E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy is pretty cheap and if it goes on a 75% sale again you should pick it up and give it a go.
And yes, I've tried Redemption. The graphics there was a little bit to out-dated, im afraid. I just couldn't enjoy it, unfortunatly.
to me, the future of gaming lies solely on indie devs, as big devs have either ran out of ideas or are unable/unwilling to try new things.
Games like World of Goo, Trine, Bastion, Killing Floor, The Binding of Isaac, Super Meat Boy, Plants vs Zombies, all excellent indie games that blow any of the so called "triple A titles" out of the water. Even VTM:B is an indie title (Troika), i think, despite being published by Activision.
Don't let the "indie" tag put you off.
BTW, i'm going to check E.Y.E. looks cool
But, I have played Dead Island, and it is nothing like VTMB. But it is a very fun game, especially at LANs and with friends while skyping. Great game, but can't be compared because its so different from VTMB, in my opinion.
Also Mr. Insigne, I'm lot letting the "indie" game tag put me off, I just... It's kind off hard to explain, I just think more than once before buying it.
I have played Killing Floor for nearly 200 hours, I really love that game. And Forge is a great indie game aswell. I've also played Plants vs. Zombies, Hunted: Hells Reach and Zombie Driver, its just that I have tried many other indie games that I didn't like.
But im looking into the game now, and it actually looks pretty great! Smooth graphics for an indie game.
From a technical standpoint, it's a disaster. One of the most broken game's i've ever played (remember it was literally unbeatable right out of the box due to the Society of Leopold glitch). Poor Physics, broken animations, graphical glitches, very crash prone, prone to stall and freeze during quests, you name it.
Melee combat is poorly implemented. It's just spamming left and right. No strategy involved.
Disciplines are horribly unbalanced. Once you get obfuscate or celerity past lvl 3 the game becomes insultingly easy.
Story is linear as hell and all 7 endings are accessible during the final cab ride regardless of how you've been playing the game so far..
...... and it's still one of the best game's i've ever played.
Why this glitchy 8+ year old indie game has remained unmatched even to this day is beyond me...
It's just. I dont know what I should call it. The atmosphere of playing the game? The "magic" that drags me into the game? I dont know. But whatever it is, the producers has nailed it.
That glitchy, poor game is is my favourite. And will probably always be.
I've never even played a game that came near being half as good as VTMB
