Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines

Any games similar to this game?
I have probably played through this game three or four times. I really do love and enjoy this game. Probably the best game I have ever played.

And I have been trying to find games similar to this one, but googling hasnt got me very far. So do you guys know of any rpgs or action rpgs similar to Vampire Bloodlines? I would really appriciate any game you guys could think of. I will check them out.

If you like vtm-b then you most likely like it for the writing and the different ways you can play the game.

Deus ex, fallout 1 and 2, the witcher games, alpha protocol, are all rpgs that allow freedom to do things differently and have solid to great writing.

If you are all about vampires then they did show off a new vampire game at e3 this year set in victorian england i think very dark looks fairly interesting.

Tons of other great games listed on here but i dunno why i did not see more recommened fallout 1 and 2 which hands down imo gives you tons of options in how to go about doing just about everythng within the game world and populated with tons of interesting characters and factions. It is hard to dismiss games that base your dialogue choices and people's repsonse to you in your int is low they will talk to you like the village idiot. the og fallout to me captured the feel of pnp games better than any games i have ever played.

I don't think its the freedom or just the vampires. In almost every RPG today you have a lot of freedom, even more than VTMB. I think VTMB would also be popular, if there were less possibilities to develop your character.
However the reason why I loved that game so much (and i have to admit that I'm not a pro, au contraire, I did not manage to solve the final mission without cheats, but I still had a lot of fun) is because of its atmosphere and the little details. The music in the clubs, the design of the cities AND all this in combination with the freedom to explore each city the way you want. Each Mission is different, you never know what will happen and the story is so exciting.

For me the fighting was just a minor part of the game, it is the whole atomsphere of this world you're in.

Therefore I am (what I already mentioned) thinking of No One Lives Forever (1 & 2). Yes it's an First Person Shooter but somehow it is so similar. Each Level is different, you have always something to explore and the atmosphere is astonishing (the Level in the submarine <3).

I agree, these games were great and it's amazing that no better secret agent shooter or RPG has yet been made! And yes, I looked at Alpha Protocol, but it's not the same class, besides the comedy and sixties feeling which added something even greater to No One Lives Forever.

You understand me. This is excatly how I feel about VTMB aswell.

I will give No One Lives Forever a look! It sounds promising!
beyond good and evil worth the try !
Love it how this thread has survived for so damn long but I have a feeling it needs to be resurrected a bit
I personally love VTMB and I believe it is a truly magical experience than cannot possibly be recaptured in almost and medium. I was actually going through a dark age of my gaming (I've been playing video games for about 7 years without stopping and have at least 5000 hours of skyrim on the xbox 360 (also to note skyrim although it is amazing in its own right has got nothing on VTMB) but I digress) but then I found VTMB and it has reinvigorated my experience for video games for me and is truly shining through the artistic integrity of creators like troika games (in our heart never forgotten) Pretty much to sum all my ♥♥♥♥ up. There's nothing like this aside from being a bit of a glitchy mess there is no way to recapture the magic of VTMB (also to anyone who replies to this "What clan would you be?" Me personally I would be a Ventrue (whoever replies first I will explain to you why)

It makes me happy to see people still replying to this thread even so long after I posted it. VTMB truly is an amazing game!
And I'm trying to find another game similar
Sigve is there any communites for this game I would love to talk to people who also play this game to pretty much talk to people how awesome it is
I can't say I've looked for communities in the last couple of years. So my best guess would be here and/or reddit for discussion about the game.

I know back in the day, when the game got its overhaul mod, there was an active community for it. But other than that, your guess is as good as mine.
Fair enough also if you could choose which clan you got embraced by what would it be?

I can't choose which one, but I would welcome any of (no particular order) Tremere, Nosferatu, Malkavian, or Ventrue. Why:

Tremere - Screw Melee and Firearms...Thaumaturgy and Domination all the way.

Nosferatu - Obfuscate, Animalism, and a little Potence increased unarmed or melee as back up.

Malkavian - Just great fun overall. Can do it all. I favor a Dementation/Auspex Firearms build
with some Sneak (No Obfuscate).

Ventrue - Level 5 Fortitude, High Defense (Wits,Dodge, Stamina, and Soak) some
Domination and a little Melee. Nearly Invincible only real threats are Ming Xiao and
The Sheriff.
Let's face the facts. There is not.. Maybe Troika's other game Arcanum could have some similarities.

I just finished my 1 000 000th playthrough and damn I don't think there is any other game quite like this not even Redemption and I do love that game very much.
There are going to be more World of Darkness games in the future. A Werewolf the Apocalypse one is next.
