Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines

Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines

Can't beat Ming
I'm starting to think I leveled wrong. This fight is impossible. I have to use guns because my melee only does so much and her tentacles fall off and i have to chase after the little guys before the get big and I'm facing an army of them. Guns only do so much damage and. I dunno maybe it was a bad idea to pick Ventrue because no one seems to play as that and all the walkthroughs assume I'm Malkavalian or something. "just use Blood boil its super easy" except I don't have blood boil. I don't have anything that helps. I pop what buffs can help but its never enough. I have full blood packs on me and its still not enough. This fight always ends the same way. I buff up shoot at her. Tentacles fall off she hits me for like a 3rd of my health every time I use blood packs.
The worst is how I google the problem and everyone says how easy this is. So that tells me Ventrue is a bad choice to play as and I should just give up now.

You may have already tried this, but just in case... Right click on the game in your library, go to "properties", go to "set launch options" and put in "-console" with no quotation marks. That will get you access to the console. From there, well there are a bucket load of sites that will tell you the codes, but the main one you will probably want to try if "giftxp x" where x equals the amount of xp your character will have.

Hope that helps.
OMG I completely forgot about that. Thank you I'll give it a try.

Ye what he said, this information is easy to find online.

My launch options are ""G:\Steam\steamapps\common\Vampire The Masquerade - Bloodlines" -console "
Finished the game last night. Console makes everything better :D thanks guys.

or you could aim for the tentacles where Ming takes the most damage, shoot the tiny ming-lings before they hit puberty and repeat the process once her tentacles regenerate.

i kill this boss with my ventrue , no problem , i only use blood arrow and shotgun. shoot quicky the little tentacle , like Insigne have say , with your shotgun and attack ming with your blood arrow ( the first blood power , not sur of the english name ) , but i have done some try , not a easy one to understand on the first try

what you need is a Flamthrower, save it all up for that fight and burn the slimey freak like the pyromaniac that you know you are. Just ignore the clones they die once she does anyway.

I wholeheartedly agree on the flamethrower: it's the best kill for Ming and the Tsmisze(sp?). Just empty the thing on them, then finish off with a blade. Ignore the Ming spawns; they don't do much damage and die when she does.

you have 2 options have the flamethrower ready for the fight or have a decent stockpile of blood and use suicde to wear her down

it is possible to melee her its just its best left to a clan that has celerity

I second the flamethrower, its the best possible weapon against Ming, since it cannot cause her tentacles to fall off and become spawns. Swords and guns can cause that though. However, you cannot carry enough ammo for the flamethrower to be enough to kill her. Similarly, if you have a discipline that causes damage but doesnt cause tentacles to fall off, its a good choice. When the tentacles turn to spawns, its best to kill the spawns asap, imo.

I think you can duck at least some of the tentacle swipes.. Because of this if I recall correctly its best to remain the entire fight in crouching position if possible. At least if you are right next to her.
